Everton fans react on Twitter to Josh King’s cameo at Chelsea

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Josh King’s performance during the Toffees’ clash with Chelsea on Monday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side suffered their first defeat in four games at Stamford Bridge. Goals in either half gave Thomas Tuchel’s men the three points.

It proved to be a hugely frustrating night for the visitors. Everton struggled to create many clear-cut chances, particularly during the second-half as they looked to force their way back into the game.

King was introduced with 20 minutes remaining with the Norwegian replacing Gylfi Sigurdsson. And some supporters felt that they saw some positive signs from the January signing.

The 29-year-old is still awaiting the chance to make his first start for Everton. But several fans have insisted that he should end that run when they host Burnley on Saturday.

He caused a couple of problems with the runs he made. And his energy seemed to give the Toffees a small, but very welcome lift ahead of the latter stages.

In fact, some suggested that he offered more during his cameo than a number of players contributed during their own stints out on the pitch.
