A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter after it was reported by the Daily Mirror that David Moyes would be interested in a return to Goodison Park if Marco Silva leaves the Toffees.
Silva is under pressure at Everton after a poor start to the season. They sit in the relegation zone and have lost five of their last six league games.
The Daily Mirror reports that Silva is expected to remain in charge against West Ham after the international break. But the pressure is mounting on the Portuguese.
And it appears that potential candidates are gearing up to make their move if Silva goes. The Mirror reports that Moyes is interested in returning to Everton having rejected opportunities in the Championship and in League One.
Moyes was in charge at Goodison Park between 2002 and 2013 before leaving Manchester United. His spell with Old Trafford did not go to plan, and he subsequently struggled with Real Sociedad and Sunderland.
And, despite achieving his main objective during a short spell in West Ham, it appears that the large majority of the Everton fanbase have no interest in Moyes returning.
While many Toffees fans are not happy with Silva, they believe that Moyes is not the man to turn things around and take the club forward.
Here is what some of the Everton supporters make of the reports…
Worst move we could do , he decided to leave us and come and bid for all r players , what’s he done since being sacked by them nothing . It would be a backwards step

However there’s absolutely no way I’d countenance a move for a David Moyes return to #EFC. While not as hostile towards him as other fans, the fact is that his time as a top level manager ended a long time ago.

Cause he does no where else to go! Failure since he left and don’t forget he run his contract down.

Would hate it, if he returned as manager it would show the total lack of ambition currently in the club, plus I would stop going if he returned.
