A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Alex Iwobi’s performance as the Toffees beat Arsenal 2-1 at Goodison Park this weekend.
It looked set to be a hugely important day for Iwobi. The Nigeria international’s form has been more impressive in recent weeks after a difficult time on Merseyside.

Saturday presented the 24-year-old with an opportunity to help pile more misery on his former club. And he certainly seemed to play his part in the victory.
He may feel aggrieved to miss out on an assist in the win. It was his cross that led to Everton’s opener. However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s attempt was going wide had it not been for Rob Holding’s touch.

And plenty of Toffees fans took to social media following the game to suggest that Iwobi – who earns £50,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – was excellent in the victory.
Many feel that he is starting to prove them wrong with his form for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. They have lauded his work-rate and effort.
They also believe that he is producing the kind of quality that could make him a hugely important player. Given the options Everton have in attacking ranks, that is arguably a huge statement.
