Everton fans react on Twitter as Southampton reportedly eye Tom Davies

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from talkSPORT this week suggesting that Southampton want to take Tom Davies on loan for the coming season.

Davies appears to be in an uncertain situation at Goodison Park. His introduction in the dying moments of their opening day win at Tottenham has proved to be his only game-time in the Premier League thus far.

And with Carlo Ancelotti putting together an incredibly impressive midfield over the summer, it would appear that it could be a frustrating season for the 22-year-old should he stay put.

But it seems that he may actually be on the move before the deadline passes.

According to talkSPORT, the Saints and Toffees are in talks regarding a potential loan move for the midfielder. It is suggested that a deal could be close.

Davies has struggled to rediscover the form that he showed when he first emerged into the first-team. And that may be why many Everton supporters seem to back a potential loan move for the academy graduate.

Some fans are not convinced that he is going to be good enough to become a key player for the Toffees. Meanwhile, others are hopeful that a loan move could get him back on track if he is not going to play as much as he needs at Everton.
