A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph claiming that Newcastle United want Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Of course, the big news coming from St James’ Park on Wednesday is that Steve Bruce has left the club.

The Magpies are now looking for their next manager. But there was also some interesting news on the transfer front today.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle have become the latest Premier League side to add Calvert-Lewin to their radar. It is claimed that he is also wanted by Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
Calvert-Lewin has scored 32 Premier League goals since the start of the 2019/2020 season. His record includes three in three at the start of this campaign.

So it will come as absolutely no surprise to many that Everton fans have absolutely no desire to see him leave Goodison Park anytime soon.
He has been outstanding over the last few years. And replacing him would not be easy given all of the boxes he ticks as a striker.
One upside Everton fans can see from Newcastle wanting him is that they believe that they could attract an eye-watering fee for him if he did go.

They certainly think that the Magpies being in the running makes it more likely that a team will pay over the odds to get him through the door.
Others are not convinced that he would have any interest in such a move with Newcastle some way off where they hope to be in the years to come.
