Everton fans react on Twitter as club reportedly pursuing Roma winger Pedro

Everton are reportedly pursing a deal to sign Roma winger Pedro this summer, despite the Spaniard only joining Roma a year ago. The veteran winger is strongly admired by Carlo Ancelotti – and Everton fans have responded on Twitter to his potential arrival.

Pedro signed a three-year deal at Roma last summer – following his Chelsea exit. The World Cup winner and three-time Champions League winner has since played 40 times for the Italian outfit. This summer, he is about to form a reunion with Jose Mourinho.

However, Everton could change that. The latest report claims that the Toffees want to raid Roma and bring Pedro – who scored 29 Premier League goals in 137 games – to Goodison Park. It is unclear how much he would cost the Merseyside club, given he has two years left to run on his contract.

CalcioMercato say that Ancelotti has long been an admirer and this summer, the Italian has the chance to sign him. Whether Roma are willing to sell, or Pedro is keen on a move to Everton, remains to be seen. But it seems Everton fans are concerned by Pedro’s age. Currently 33, Pedro turns 34 in January and is certainly entering the twilight of his career.
