Everton fans react as Victor Osimhen posts video on Instagram in Toffees shirt

Victor Osimhen is quickly becoming renowned as one of the best young attackers in European football as he continues to shine for French side Lille – and Everton fans are in meltdown after he posted a video on Instagram in an Everton shirt.

Osimhen, 21, joined Lille last summer from Belgian outfit Charleroi and has since taken to life in France. Osimhen has scored 18 goals in 38 league and cup appearances, and has now been linked with a number of Premier League teams.

French outlet Foot Mercato have claimed that Nigeria international Osimhen is interesting Liverpool, while Tottenham have also been linked with the speed machine – who can play up front and out wide.

Osimhen has fuelled rumours over a move to Merseyside, but the blue half. That is because he posted a video on his Instagram story wearing an Everton shirt, as he took part in the #stayathomechallenge, which has seen players juggle toilet roll.

It remains to be seen how much Lille will charge for Osimhen, who is closing in on reaching 23 goals for the season – the same amount that Nicolas Pepe scored for the French side before his £72million move to Arsenal last summer.

Everton fans reacted to the news that one of Europe’s most exciting attackers was pictured wearing a Toffees shirt, and many have urged their club’s hierarchy to bring the African speedster to Goodison Park.
