Everton fans react as they are linked with Brazilian international Everton Soares

Everton are reportedly interested in a deal to sign their namesake in Brazilian talent Everton Soares of Gremio, according to reports. 

Goal is reporting that Everton will ‘formalise’ an approach of €35 million (£29.9m) for the player in the ‘coming hours’, with a January deal reportedly being lined up. 

Everton have been rumoured to be scouting Brazilian football for months now and the report claims that the Gremio attacker is one of the players the club are ready to bring to Goodison Park. 

The club are reportedly in negotiations with infamous transfer broker Kia Joorabchian, with whom Everton’s main shareholder Farhad Moshiri is known to have a relationship with. The pair have been spotted in the crowd at Everton games together and the agent would appear to be a key component in this story.

Of course, considering the high level of European clubs who have previously been linked with ‘Cebolinha’ Everton fans can be excited about his potential arrival. 

Unfortunately, the mood at Goodison is currently low. 

Therefore, not many Everton fans appear to believe that there is much truth to this story and will not be holding their breath for it to get done…
