Everton youngster Ademola Lookman’s future is likely to be up for debate once again this summer, and Southampton are reportedly looking to lure him down south – and Toffees fans want a quick sale.
The Independent claim Everton have placed the 21-year-old on the transfer list after failing to break into Marco Silva’s starting eleven on a regular basis this season. Theo Walcott, Bernard and Richarlison have been preferred.
Despite an impressive loan spell at RB Leipzig during the second half of the 2017-18 campaign where he scored five goals and created four more in 11 games, Lookman has only started three league games all season.
Indeed, he made 18 appearances in the league from the substitutes bench. He failed to find the back of the net in England’s top tier, and only supplied two assists for Everton’s attackers.
Now “up for sale” – as per the report – Southampton are looking to raid Everton for Lookman. It is believed a £20million fee is enough to land the versatile attacker. RB Leipzig and Bournemouth are also said to be keen.
Everton fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Southampton are interested in the player they signed in January 2017 from Charlton for a fee believed to be in the region of £11million.

The lad can't even get ahead of a 30 year old Walcott, let him go along as were bringing in another winger or actually gonna be able to use Onyekuru

If we sell him we should insist on a buyback clause.

I trust Marco. If he cant get ahead of Walcott in training then his attitude isnt what we need at Everton.
