A number of Everton fans have taken to social media to react to a tweet from journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming that the Toffees want Max Aarons.

Aarons has long been considered one of the best young talents playing in any division. He impressed in the Premier League last season, and continues to do well as Norwich threaten to make an immediate return to the top flight.

Unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old is attracting a host of attention ahead of the summer. According to Romano, Bayern Munich are in talks with the Canaries about a potential move.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are also admirers of the youngster. And Romano claims that Aarons also finds himself on Everton’s wishlist.

The journalist has suggested that Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign a new right-back this summer. And Aarons is one of the players on his radar.

And it appears that plenty of Everton supporters are delighted to hear that he is a target. Seamus Coleman has been an incredible servant for the club. He is the poster boy for when the biggest bargains in Premier League history are discussed.

However, he is slowly approaching the twilight of his career. Meanwhile, Mason Holgate has been outstanding, but he is also a centre-back option.

‘Day gets better and better’

Aarons will not come cheap. Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Norwich had told Bayern that his asking price could be as high as £35 million.

But judging by the reaction to the links, it appears that many Everton fans would be happy to see the club part with a significant sum to get him through the Goodison Park door.

With that in mind, here is how some of the fans have reacted to the links…
