Everton fans have been reacting to reports the club were actually able to land new signing James Rodriguez on a free transfer.

The Colombian put pen to paper on a two-year deal on Monday, with the Toffees having the option of a third year.

The reporting of his fee by UK outlets has not been very consistent, with BBC Sport claiming he cost £12 million, Sky Sports saying £22 million and The Guardian insisting £20 million.
