A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports claiming that the Toffees have cooled their interest in Josh King over his wage demands.
King is attracting plenty of attention as he heads into the final months of his Bournemouth contract. The Sun claimed earlier this month that the Toffees were in talks over a potential swap deal involving the forward.
However, it now appears that a move in this window is looking much less likely. The Sun claimed over the weekend that King wants £120,000-a-week from his next contract.
Unsurprisingly, the report suggested that Everton have backed away from discussions. And it appears that King could now have to wait until the summer to move elsewhere.
The claim that the 28-year-old wants such a lucrative deal has prompted a strong reaction on social media. And it appears that many are very pleased with Everton’s stance.
King has previously done well in the top flight. However, he is yet to contribute a goal or assist in the Championship this season. And he is unlikely to enjoy a prominent role in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans if he does move to Goodison Park.
So some Everton fans cannot understand why the club would be tempted to meet his demands. And thus, they seem content with the Toffees’ decision to back away.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
Not worth half that.

Should be happy Everton are so called interested. Don’t mind him and like his profile but I very much doubt Everton will pay him that. He will be Dcls back up
