Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that James Rodriguez and Seamus Coleman are likely to miss Sunday’s game against Southampton.
The Colombian and Republic of Ireland internationals will miss out through injuries, with Rodriguez, in particular, a massive blow.
Since signing from Real Madrid the 29-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm and he’ll be a big loss to the Toffees.
Rodriguez has scored three goals and registered four assists for his new club and is proving a stellar recruit.
Coleman has proved a stalwart for Everton at the back and he too will be a big miss for Ancelotti this weekend.
Everton are still to taste defeat in the Premier League, with four wins and a draw from the opening five matches.
Things look to be on the up for the Toffees under Ancelotti with his summer signings having a real impact.
News of the influential duo picking up injuries has been met with disappointment from the club’s supporters.
Many believe they will still have enough to be Southampton but concede it might now be far trickier.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Everton fans regarding the absences of Rodriguez and Coleman for this weekend.
It is a shame, but if we are to have a successful season then we must adapt, let's see how strong the squad is. These things happen over the course of the season, and I'm sure we will adapt and win the game! pic.twitter.com/RYIjeIOSkT

Neve good to lose your best players but we must show what we’re made of. Players that come in have seen how good janes is. They need to listen to Carlo and show him that they can be trusted in games like this. Southampton won’t be easy but we can get the win 💙
