Everton have finally agreed the sale of Fraser Hornby to French side Stade de Reims. The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the deal is likely to have set the French side back £1.8 million.
Everton sent the talented Scotland under-21 international out on loan to Kortrijk last summer, who had a chance to sign him permanently in the summer. Unfortunately, the Belgian side brought in a new striker in January and Hornby fell down the pecking order which saw no permanent deal considered.

The 20-year-old took to Twitter after the deal was announced to thank Everton for everything they have done for him over the past six years whilst also expressing his excitement at joining the Ligue 1 side.
Everton fans have been quick to react to the news that Hornby has made a permanent move away from the club.
The Toffees had high hopes for Hornby at one point but the emergence of Ellis Simms has seen Everton consider Hornby an expendable prospect.
Plenty of Everton fans took to Twitter to thank Hornby and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
Others felt that Everton might be making a mistake letting Hornby go and that the Scot might have had a big future at Goodison Park.
Here is some of the best reaction from Twitter to Hornby’s departure.
