Manchester United ace Eric Bailly has suggested to the Pure Football Podcast that he’d like to play for Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The defender signed for United in 2016 from Villarreal for £30 million but has struggled with injury problems during his time at the club.

He has made 98 appearances for the Red Devils in total, featuring in last night’s Europa League draw with Real Sociedad.

Everton are going well in the top-flight this season and have a real chance of qualifying for Europe this season.

Under Ancelotti, they look far more organised and his summer recruits showcase a club that could kick on massively.

Bailly is a big fan of the Italian though and has said he’d love to play under the great.

He told the Pure Football Podcast: “From all the managers in the history of football? When I was younger we always watched Chelsea who were lucky to have Mourinho, but I always liked Ancelotti.”

Following the centre-back’s comments, Everton fans have taken to Twitter.

It seems as though some supporters wouldn’t be overly against Bailly signing for the club if the opportunity arose.

Here is a selection of Tweets from Toffees supporters regarding the £80,000-a-week player’s revelation.
