Everton are one of four Premier League sides reportedly interested in signing Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer this summer with the player’s agent stating he wants to leave the Scottish champions this summer – and Toffees fans have responded on Twitter.
Ajer, 22, has grown rapidly since joining Celtic in the summer of 2016 from FK Start – clocking up 129 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops in the last four seasons, after breaking into the side following a loan at Kilmarnock.
Football website 90Min claim Everton are one of four English sides interested in Norway international Ajer along with Manchester City, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers. AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and PSG are also keeping tabs.

Earlier this season, the defender’s agent told The Record that his client would leave Celtic this summer after helping the Hoops achieve a ninth consecutive Scottish Premiership title – and Norwegian outlet Sporten claim he is worth £27million.
Everton are certainly in need of a central defender, with Kurt Zouma and Phil Jagielka leaving the club last summer and The Toffees failed to bring in a replacement. It leaves Carlo Ancelotti with just Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.
Everton supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that the club are considering a move to sign 6ft 4in Ajer from Celtic in the coming months, and it is a somewhat mixed response. Some think he would be a good signing, while others do not.
