Everton have reportedly approached former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino to replace Marco Silva at Goodison Park following the Portuguese manager’s sacking – and Everton fans have reacted on Twitter.
The Times have claimed that Everton have approached the Argentine manager, who was sacked by Tottenham in November after more than five years with the north London club. He was replaced by Jose Mourinho after a poor start to the season.
He took over at Spurs when they were a side pushing for the top four. Despite coming under tight financial control from chairman Daniel Levy, Pochettino turned Spurs into an established top-four side and even title challengers.

The likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and plenty more thrived under his guidance. So much so, that it culminated in a sensational pursuit of Champions League glory last season, eventually losing to Liverpool in the final.
Since then, Spurs have faltered. They seemingly have not got over the defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side. Now, Pochettino could embark on a third spell at a Premier League club – after managing Southampton before his role at Tottenham.
Everton fans have reacted to the news that their club have made the ambitious move to approach Pochettino, who has been linked with Europe’s best clubs. Many are aware that he may ignore the Everton role, but are desperate to see him at Goodison.
