Everton have reportedly made contact with super agent Mino Raiola over a sensational move to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Merseyside after his contract at MLS side LA Galaxy expired – and Everton fans have reacted on Twitter.
Italian outlet Arena Napoli have claimed that Everton are talking to Raiola over a possible move for the 38-year-old – and are willing to make him their highest-paid player. Brazilian attacker Bernard currently bestows that title.
Ibrahimovic is keen to find a new club after his contract expired at LA Galaxy. During the 2019 MLS campaign, he scored an incredible 31 goals in 31 games as well as laying on eight assists – he certainly still has the talent to score plenty of goals.
Everton are still likely to be after a striker after big-money moves for Moise Kean and Cenk Tosun have not worked out. Dom Calvert-Lewin, though, did score a brace for Everton on the weekend in an excellent 3-1 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Ibrahimovic is believed to want a return to Serie A, where he played for both Milan clubs and Juventus. However, he is aware of admirers in the Premier League and it is now seemingly evident that Everton are one of those teams.
Everton fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Ibrahimovic could be about to rock up at Merseyside in a somewhat shock move. Many supporters are desperate to see him sign for their club, though admit it is a “crazy” move.

I would do it in a heartbeat. American here, NYRB supporter, loved watching Zlatan boss people around the field. He still has it. But, I think that they paid him double that his last year, we would have to seriously increase the offer. Get Giroud at a lower price

I would cry so many tears of joy. My favorite player and my favorite club.
