Everton supporters have been reacting to the club signing goalkeeper Robin Olsen on transfer deadline day.

The Toffees capped off a brilliant window by landing the 30-year-old on a season-long loan from AS Roma.

Earlier in the day, Everton signed defender Ben Godfrey from Norwich City.

The pair follow Niels Nkounkou, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez to Goodison Park.

Olsen’s signing comes after Jordan Pickford made another unfortunate error in the Premier League on Saturday, this time against Brighton.

The England number one fumbled a cross allowing Seagulls poacher Neal Maupay to score.

It was another awkward moment for the 26-year-old, who has made several mistakes leading to goals in recent times for Everton.

The situation has prompted Everton fans to clamour for a new goalkeeper to come in and provide competition for the ex-Sunderland stopper, and that is exactly what has happened.

Everton landing Olsen on loan is potentially decent business and a good end to what’s been a fine international transfer window for the club.

Pickford has been crying out for a proper challenge between the sticks, and he should get that from an experienced goalkeeper.
