Everton fans react as Anthony Gordon signs new contract

Everton announced on Tuesday lunchtime that attacker Anthony Gordon has signed a new five-year deal with them – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter expressed their excitement over the news.

The Toffees confirmed on their official website that the teenager has penned a fresh five-year contract at Goodison Park that keeps him at the club until June 2025.

Gordon was integrated into the Everton first-team squad last season by Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti and he started getting some regular minutes towards the back end of the campaign, where he was one of the bright sparks both in and out of possession with his energy.

The 19-year-old is a highly-rated talent to come out of the academy at the Merseyside club and is renowned for his quick dribbling, technical ability and eye for goal.

He is a left-winger that was a full first-team player since football action resumed and he must go into the 2020/21 campaign with plenty of confidence of having more opportunities.
