Everton fans react as Andre Gomes returns for Burnley clash

Andre Gomes is back after a month-long absence, Marco Silva has confirmed (via evertonfc.com). He confirmed that Gomes and Theo Walcott are available to take on Burnley this weekend.

Silva also added that Jean-Philippe Gbamin is back in training after his injury setback. But Everton fans were most pleased with the Gomes news. After three successive league defeats, Gomes’ return is music to Everton fans’ ears.

Gomes was a vital cog in Everton’s midfield last season when he was on loan from Barcelona. He returned on a permanent deal this summer but his progress has been stunted by injuries.

The Portugal star played the first four games of the season but has not played since September 1st. Initially, Everton fans thought Gomes would be out until mid-October. But he has returned two weeks early and he is back in full training.
