Everton plan to make a fresh move for Wilfried Zaha this summer having seen two bids for the Crystal Palace talisman knocked back last year, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.

The Mirror reports that the Eagles are gearing up to sell Zaha during this window. The forward ended the campaign with four goals in the Premier League.

Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly a big admirer of the 27-year-old. And it appears that Everton have received a boost, with the Mirror noting that last summer’s £100 million asking price has dropped.

It remains to be seen what price Palace want this summer. But perhaps it should now not be a big surprise if the forward is playing for another club by the time the new campaign starts up.

‘Get him in’

However, the news that Everton have returned to the race for his signature has left plenty of Toffees fans divided on social media.

Some are not convinced that he would be worth the money. In fairness, his goals return this past season does look to be underwhelming.

Even if Palace have halved their asking price – which arguably looks unlikely – it would still arguably be a sizeable risk from Everton to make a move.

But there are plenty of supporters who believe that he would still be a very good signing. They are optimistic about what he could potentially do at Goodison Park with Ancelotti reportedly backing a move.

Few fans seem to be willing to see the club pay over the odds for Zaha. But the general feeling appears to be that he would be a welcome addition for a decent price – with more than one fan suggesting that offering Alex Iwobi as part of the deal should be considered.

Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
