Everton jumped up to fifth in the Premier League table with an impressive 2-0 victory over Leicester City on Wednesday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter went wild about the performance of their midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The Toffees recorded a brilliant away performance at the King Power Stadium to earn another three points, as they begin to rediscover the kind of form they started the season with.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side secured the win with goals from Richarlison and Mason Holgate as they showed plenty going forward, while defensively it was another clean sheet.
The Merseyside club have found a real defensive steel of late that is providing the platform for their performances and they never looked in real danger against a Leicester team that had 61 per cent possession.
They have now recorded back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Leicester, which gives them great momentum going into the weekend’s fixture against Arsenal.

A selection of Everton fans on social media believe that Doucoure deserved huge credit for his contribution during the game.
The 27-year-old central midfielder covered every blade of grass with his all-action display and produced two remarkable last ditch tackles to help his side.
