Everton fans rage with ‘anonymous’ Gylfi Sigurdsson after Watford loss

Everton suffered a crushing Premier League defeat away to Watford on Saturday – and many of the club’s supporters took out their frustration with Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Toffees were beaten 1-0 at Vicarage Road, with centre-forward Andre Gray scoring the winner in the second-half.

Marco Silva’s team have now lost four of their lsat five league fixtures and the manager has to be under severe pressure at Goodison Park.

The Merseyside club were once again not quite at the races and the only team they have beaten recently is bottom of the table Huddersfield Town.

A selection of Everton fans on social media were fuming with Sigurdsson following his display, as he was unable to provide a creative spark in the final third.

The 29-year-old was deployed in a left-sided role instead of more centrally and has now gone four games in the league without a goal.

He was substituted off in the second-half after failing to have an influence and it will be intriguing to see if he’s dropped for the club’s next fixture away to Cardiff City.
