Kurt Zouma helped Everton to a victory over Burnley on Monday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter went wild for the quality of his performance.

The Toffees overcame Burnley 2-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League to jump up to eighth in the table.

They now only have a trip to Tottenham on the final day of the season ahead of them, as Marco Silva’s first year in charge on Merseyside draws to a close.

Ben Mee’s own goal and a header from Seamus Coleman handed Everton three points, which means they have picked up 16 points from their last seven games.

A selection of Everton fans on social media hailed Zouma for his no-nonsense display against Burnley.

The 24-year-old showed his composure in defence by keeping tabs on Burnley strikers Ashely Barnes and Chris Wood, while he was composed bringing the ball out too.

He’s been an excellent loan signing at Goodison Park this season and become such a consistent performer at centre-back.

The France international has developed a brilliant understanding alongside teammate Michael Keane in the heart of defence that has blossomed in recent months.

A common theme with Everton fans is that they are desperate to see him join from Chelsea on a permanent basis in the summer.
