Former Everton attacker Nikola Vlasic impressed in midweek on the international stage – and some Toffees fans on Twitter responded by claiming they would have loved to see him working under their current manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Vlasic, who played just 19 first-team games for the Merseyside club, only managed two years at Goodison Park before he was eventually sold.
The attacking midfielder had a difficult debut year with Everton in the 2017/18 campaign and as a result they loaned him out to CSKA Moscow the following season, before eventually selling him to the Russian club in the 2019 summer window.
He’s managed to become a real talisman for CSKA Moscow, scoring four goals and supplying three assists so far at the beginning of this season in just eight games.

Vlasic started on Wednesday night for Croatia in their Nations League fixture against reigning World Cup champions France.
The 23-year-old Croatian was part of a side that suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at home, but he scored a brilliant equaliser with the outside of his boot to equalise at one stage and he’s a player that is continuing to improve.
A selection of Everton supporters on social media were massively impressed by their ex-playmaker following his international contribution and some feel they made a mistake offloading him.
