Everton fans pleased with reported interest in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski
Everton could reportedly be interested in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are thrilled by the speculation.
Calciomercato reports that the 25-year-old will be on the Toffees radar if they appoint Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
Ancelotti, 60, is set to be appointed the Everton boss by the end of this week (Sky Sports) and he could move to sign a former player immediately.
The Italian manager was sacked by Serie A club in December despite their progression to the Champions League last-16.
But Calciomercato have also reported that Zielinski will be offered a new contract from Napoli to secure his future and that a deal is expected to be wrapped up by the end of December.
Zielinski is a key player for the Italian side that is an ever-present in the central midfield position for them and was favoured by Ancelotti.
The Poland international is a playmaker that can play a box-to-box role and is a great dribbler, which is why he could be an exciting addition to the midfield ranks at Everton if he ended up on Merseyside.
A selection of Everton supporters on social media have given a huge thumbs up to speculation linking them with the Napoli midfielder.

I’m sure Zielinski would be a good player. Another who I wouldn’t mind is Steven Nzonzi on loan. Knows our league, would add experience, presence and a bit of quality while gomes & gbamin get fit. Probably wouldn’t cost much either, as he’s out of favour at Galatasaray
