Everton have been linked with a potential swoop for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly ahead of next season – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are delighted with the transfer speculation.
TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook has reported that Everton have a “genuine interest” in the 29-year-old ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
It is understood that the Senegal international will be worth a lot less than last year’s £89million transfer valuation.
Additionally, Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti would love to reunite with the centre-back after previously working with him when he was in charge as Napoli manager.
Aged 29, Koulibaly is at the peak of his powers right now, and he’s built up a stellar reputation across Europe in recent years.
He’s a physical centre-half that has been dominant in the Napoli backline since 2014.

If Everton were able to bring him to Goodison Park, it would be another huge signal of intent from them to land such a high-profile individual.
But it’s worth noting they already have various centre-back options in their squad with the likes of Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey, Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina.
The Merseyside giants are certainly becoming a more attractive option each year, and that will continue if they get over the line for a European finish this season.
A selection of Everton supporters on social media believe that Napoli’s defender would be a massive coup.
