Everton faltered over the Christmas period, which put a dent in their hopes of reaching the European places this season and put a large amount of emphasis on yesterday’s match against Bournemouth.
Eddie Howe’s side have been enduring some struggles of their own of late but dominated the first half, which only served to heighten the tension around Goodison Park, with the supporters desperate for a win.
Everton were better in the second half without creating a hatful of chances and it took Kurt Zouma to pop up with his first goal for the club to break the deadlock and generate great relief in the ground.
