Everton continued their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season by beating Brighton on Saturday afternoon in a thriller – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked out their midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure as a real standout performer.
The Toffees beat Brighton 4-2 at Goodison Park in the league fixture to ensure they have maximum points from the opening four games going into the international break.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side once again showed their quality going forward and in-form striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the opener to show why he’s been called up to the senior England squad by Gareth Southgate.
Despite a Jordan Pickford error to gift Neal Maupay an equaliser, Everton restored their lead with Yerry Mina’s header on the stroke of half-time
James Rodriguez scored a second-half brace to secure the points, while Yves Bissouma fired in a sensational injury time consolation for the visitors.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media believe that central midfielder Doucoure was a colossus in the middle of the park.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has been a massive player for Ancelotti’s side since his summer arrival from Watford and he was once again impressive, as he helped break up play and even assisted Rodriguez for one of his goals.
