Everton are reportedly keen on luring Jorge Jesus to Goodison Park from Brazilian side Flamengo after the Portguese manager guided his team to Copa Libertadores victory with a 2-1 win over River Plate – and Everton fans have reacted on Twitter.
The Telegraph have claimed that 65-year-old manager Jesus has been added to Everton’s shortlist, if indeed they do decide to fire Silva. The latter has come under huge pressure after a 2-0 loss at home to Norwich City.
There had been talk immediately after the defeat that the former Watford manager had been relieved of his duties, but it is understood that Silva will be given a few weeks to rediscover Everton’s form – though there is a tough run of games coming up.

Jesus entered the world of management in 1990 aged just 35. He managed in Portugal for 28 years, taking over 13 different clubs including Braga, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon. He then moved to the Middle East in 2018, before Flamengo.
His appointment was a controversial one. But after 26 matches unbeaten in all competitions and a Copa Libertadores win, he has instantly become a legend with the club. Gabriel Barbosa scored twice in the final minutes to win 2-1.
Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Flamengo boss Jesus could become a target for Everton, and supporters believe he would be an excellent appointment for the Merseyside club.
