Everton fans excited about reported midfield target Ibrahim Sangare

Everton are reportedly interested in Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are thrilled with the speculation.

According to L’Equipe, the Toffees are keen on the 21-year-old midfielder that has impressed in the French top-flight during the most recent season.

It is understood that Tottenham are also admirers of him, but the player would prefer to stay with Ligue 1 side Toulouse for another year.

The report does explain though that a deal between £17.75million and £22.2million could be enough to tempt a potential sale.

Sangare is a rising talent in French football that is most recognised as a defensive midfielder, but he can play a box-to-box role with runs forward.

The Ivory Coast international breaks up play well and has similarities with current Toffees enforcer Idrissa Gueye to his game.

The Merseyside club could do with more reinforcements in the centre of the park next season, as they have to be aiming to get into the European spots under Marco Silva.

Central midfielder Andre Gomes was a success during his loan spell at the club, but they need some more options at Goodison Park.
