Everton fans discuss something West Ham did on deadline day
West Ham signed Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow on deadline day – and Everton fans have responded, as the ex-Toffee moves to East London.
Vlasic, 23, has put pen to paper on a deal worth a huge £33.4million according to Sky Sports. £25.7million up front, with £7.7million in add-ons.
The Croatia international has penned a five-year deal at the London Stadium. It comes after Vlasic struggled during his time at Everton.
Joining Everton in 2017, Vlasic scored just two goals in 19 games. It saw him go on loan to CSKA in 2018, and a deal was made permanent in 2019.
In three seasons at CSKA, Vlasic has produces a huge 54 goal involvements in 108 outings for the Russian side – scoring 33 and creating 21 more.
He even netted against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Vlasic posted on Instagram after completing a move to West Ham, from CSKA Moscow.
Vlasic to West Ham: Everton fans have their say on Twitter
Vlasic joins a West Ham side that also brought in Alphonse Areola, Kurt Zouma and Alex Kral. There is plenty of competition.
Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals, Andriy Yarmolenko and others are options in the final third. Vlasic has to work hard to start.
But if he can replicate his CSKA form in London – rather than his Everton form – than he will be a massive Hammers success over the next few years.
Everton fans have reacted on Twitter to the news West Ham brought in Vlasic – with many predicting he will be a star for the Hammers.
