Everton fans disappointed with Marco Silva’s latest treatment of Moise Kean

Everton fans were disappointed with the way in which the Italian was used tonight.

Everton took on Watford this evening in the EFL Cup and came away with a win courtesy of Mason Holgate’s second-half header and Richarlison’s late second. The result puts the Toffees into the quarter-finals of the competition and fans will be hoping that Everton can finally end their silverware drought.

However, despite tonight’s success, Everton fans are not impressed by Marco Silva’s treatment of one player.

Moise Kean’s selection in the starting XI certainly had plenty of Everton fans excited until they figured the position in which Silva was asking the Italian to play.

Kean, a central striker, was asked to operate in a wide right role and it was not a true reflection of his talents in the role.

The youngster tried his best to influence the game but struggled to have any impact.

At half-time, he was off, and Kean continues to struggle under the management of Silva. Theo Walcott came on and, in fairness, had a good game for Everton – supplying the cross for Holgate’s opener. However, many felt Kean was hung out to dry by the decision to start him out of position in the first place.

Kean, who arrived in a deal reported by The Independent to be in the region of £27.5 million from Juventus, has not yet been utilised affectively by the Everton boss.

Some fans, it seems, are furious that this is the case.
