Everton completed the signing of Watford’s central midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure on Tuesday evening – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter went wild over the announcement.

The Toffees confirmed on their official website that the Frenchman has moved to Goodison Park and he’s signed a three-year contract with a club option of a fourth season.

Doucoure has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside during this summer transfer window and he’s now joined in time for the new Premier League season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have signed Allan and James Rodriguez in the past few days to strengthen their squad, but their summer spending has now continued with the powerhouse midfielder from Watford.

Doucoure was part of a Watford team that suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, but he’s been one of the outstanding individuals at Vicarage Road in recent years and has 129 games of top-flight experience under his belt.

The 27-year-old is a colossus in the centre of the park with his physicality and stamina, plus he’s got an eye for goal too with his bursting runs forward.
