Everton fans blown away by Tom Davies in 2-0 win over Liverpool

Everton secured a memorable victory at Anfield on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were left raving about their midfielder Tom Davies for his individual performance.

The Toffees won 2-0 away at Liverpool in a Premier League fixture, which moved them level on points in the table and gave them huge bragging rights.

Richarlison scored the opener within three minutes, as he was played through on goal by an intricate pass from James Rodriguez and he fired it into the bottom corner.

Everton had to withstand plenty of attacks from the hosts, but eventually wrapped up the win and three points when Gylfi Sigurdsson converted a penalty in the 83rd minute.

The weekend result was the first time since 2010 that Everton have beaten Liverpool in the Premier League.

A selection of Everton supporters on social media were raving about English youngster Davies for his display in the centre of the park.

The 22-year-old has arguably found the best form of his short career lately and he was once again a colossus against Liverpool.

He is an aggressive central midfielder that covered even blade of grass and did a lot of ugly work in front of the backline.
