Everton fans blown away by ‘magician’ Bernard after beating West Ham

Bernard starred in an emphatic win over West Ham on Saturday – and many Everton fans on Twitter hailed him for the quality of his performance.

Marco Silva’s team recorded a 2-0 victory at the London Stadium in the Premier League, but the scoreline didn’t quite reflect their dominance in the game and it was just a lack of finishing that let them down.

The Merseyside club were rampant in the first-half, as Kurt Zouma opened the scoring after just five minutes with a header.

Man of the match Bernard then added a second before the break and found space in the penalty area to tap into an empty net after a flowing move.

The result means that the Toffees are now ninth in the league table and just a point off Wolverhampton Wanderers in seventh.

A selection of Everton fans were blown away by Bernard for his individual display, as he tormented West Ham right-back all game.

The 26-year-old Brazilian winger has shown flashes of glimpses at Goodison Park since he joined in the summer on a free transfer, but looked the real deal on Saturday.

He will hope that his first Premier League goal can help him kick on now and nail down his spot in the starting XI on the left flank.
