Everton fans are over the moon as Richarlison quashes exit rumours on Twitter

Everton forward Richarlison was linked with a shock move across town to Liverpool during the summer transfer window yesterday.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, as relayed by the Daily Mail, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp met with the star’s agent at his house, sparking rumours the former Watford man was set for a stunning move.

But the chances of a player moving across Stanley Park always seem slim and that appears to have been the case again here as Richarlison swiftly took to Twitter to dispel the rumours.

He insisted he is happy at Goodison Park, despite the Toffees undergoing a mixed first season under Marco Silva while Liverpool have been involved in the Premier League title race.

Understandably, the Everton supporters loved the message sent to their local rivals and are very keen for the attacker, who Spotrac claim earns £90,000 a week at the club, to remain there.
