Everton are set to complete a deal for Manchester City utility man Fabian Delph, according to BBC Sport.

The 29-year-old has just one year left on his current deal with the reigning champions and will complete an £8 million transfer.

Delph featured  20 times in all competitions during 2018/19 and will leave in search of regular first-team football.

The versatile performer has collected 20 England caps and won several titles during his time with the top-flight giants.

Frequent runs in the team have been all too rare at City. In his four year spell at the club, he has played just 57 times in the Premier League and a move should do him good.

Delph joins goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and midfielder Andre Gomes in arriving at Goodison Park this summer.

Following news of the deal nearing completion, several Everton supporters have taken to Twitter to offer their thoughts on the move.

Naturally when a player signs from such a quality team there is an element of excitement; although some fans do remain a little uncertain of the impact he will have.

With the Toffees looking to gatecrash a European place next season, Delph’s experience could well prove vital for Marco Silva’s team.
