Everton duo Gylfi Sigurdsson and Phil Jagielka have implored Kurt Zouma to turn his Toffees loan move into a permanent one.
Zouma has been enjoying some good form for Marco Silva’s side of late, and has been firmly established as a regular in the starting XI.
The 6ft 3in colossus has formed a solid partnership with Michael Keane, and fans are keen to see him he remain with the club beyond the summer.
Zouma, of course, is only on loan from Chelsea and matters could be complicated this summer given their transfer embargo, which the Blues have appealed.
It would seem Zouma is a popular figure with both the fans and his teammates. Sigurdsson said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo: “He’s been fantastic for us since he came in, so hopefully he’ll want to stay.
“I’m sure the club will put a bit of pressure on him to stay, and I’m sure the boys will as well!”
Club captain Jagielka added: “He’s been brilliant, and the situation with Chelsea will probably play some part with where he is next season but we’ll have to wait and go from there.”
Zouma has gradually improved throughout the course of the season and appears to be a great fit at Everton.
Supposedly he is a priority signing this summer, as he should be.
Silva will surely be hoping that Chelsea’s embargo is overturned, or the Blues are actually just willing to sell.
The Frenchman is finally starting to show he could perhaps get somewhere near the exciting potential he arrived at Stamford Bridge with.
