Everton secured a superb 2-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park yesterday to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Newcastle United.

Goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson ensured a dominant second-half display was rewarded with all three points.

The Toffees have not been great at times this season and the win over the Blues was arguably their greatest moment of the campaign.

Boss Marco Silva knows he could do with more wins of this nature between now and the end of the season.

The performances of Dominic Calvert-Lewin have caught the eye of late.

The ex-Sheffield United man has started the last four games and his presence in the side has led to some positive results.

The lively performer is on a £20k-a-week contract, according to Spotrac, but is yet to fulfill his potential.

It asks the question of whether the 22-year-old could be the man to lead the line for Everton next season.

With 21 England Under-21 caps, Calvert-Lewin’s game is about more than just goals.

Yesterday against Chelsea he never gave the back four a moment to breath such was his energy in the final third.

The Everton youngster has started the last four games, playing his part in two vital wins and a draw with Liverpool.

An experienced man alongside Calvert-Lewin wouldn’t go amiss for Silva in the summer.

It’s fair to say though that given more chances to start games, he could save Everton millions during the summer transfer window.
