Everton defender Michael Keane has showered praise on teammate Lucas Digne after an excellent debut campaign for the Toffees.
The Frenchman arrived on Merseyside last summer in an £18 million deal from Barcelona (BBC Sport).

Few could have imagined just how brilliant Digne could have been, but he has produced a string of superb displays from left-back with fans adoring his quality in both attack and defense.
Digne is highly popular with his teammates too, and Keane has been blown away by his impact.
He said, as quoted by The Liverpool Echo: “I think he’s the perfect mix for a modern-day full back. A lot of the time these days you either get a [full-back] who is a really good defender or someone who is more of a winger.

“But Lucas is both and it’s great to have him in our team. We know we can rely on him defensively in one-on-one situations and winning headers at the back post – he’s done that brilliantly all season.
“But going forwards he’s a huge threat for us too, he’s got a great cross on him.”
TBR’s view
Everton really did strike gold with the signing of Digne, who has arguably only been bettered by Liverpool’s Andy Robertson in his position this season.

His £18 million fee looks like a total steal now, and the Frenchman will be keen to kick on in 2019/20.
He is adored by the Toffees faithful, and it’ll be important for him to maintain his high standards next term as Everton seek possible silverware and a loftier finish in the table.
