Report: Everton insiders already unimpressed with Lampard as players label him 'clueless'
He might have only been in the job for two minutes, but Everton are said to already be considering move on from Frank Lampard as their manager.
Lampard has suffered a string of terrible results which culminated in this week’s devastating loss against Burnley. The Toffees had the game in hand only to see Sean Dyche’s side fight back and snatch a huge 3-2 win. With Everton’s run of fixtures to come, some are already thinking they are down.
And worryingly for Lampard, insiders at Everton and some players are already growing tired of the former Chelsea man.
That’s according to Miguel Delaney from The Independent anyway, who writes in his weekly newsletter about Lampard and Everton this week. In the column, he states how some inside Everton are ‘unimpressed’ with what Lampard has brought to the table. More worryingly, it’s also claimed some players have started to band the term ‘clueless’ about to describe the new man in charge. There is also a comment that Lampard might not last beyond June, regardless of relegation.
Lampard will be hoping a game with Manchester United tomorrow lunch time can bring around a huge change of fortune. Historically, Goodison Park is bouncing for this one and it needs to be tomorrow.
TBR’s View: Everton And Lampard Already On Shaky Ground
After a couple of good weeks in charge the honeymoon period is well and truly over for Frank Lampard. Everton are in the mud, and if they don’t turn it around right now, they will go down.
Sean Dyche said in midweek that he didn’t believe Everton’s players knew how to win a game. And that seems to be true. It makes tomorrow’s clash with United huge.
This article from inside Everton doesn’t read well for Lampard, though. Even if he does keep them up, it seems like some have made their minds up already.
