Everton are reportedly keen on a move for Benfica’s talented Serbian winger Andrija Zivkovic. The Daily Mail report that Everton are keen on the player who would cost in excess of £20 million.

Zivkovic has struggled to hold down a regular starting position in the Benfica XI this season. However, the 22-year-old is undoubtedly a talent and certainly the young and exciting type that director of football Marcel Brands would target.

He has always been tipped for greatness, even before he joined Benfica in 2016. The Serbian starlet had been thriving with Partizan Belgrade and fully deserved the praise he was receiving, as well as the attention.

One team that was interested? Liverpool.

As reported by A Bola, relayed by Metro at the time, Liverpool missed out on the player to Benfica. A long-term target he reportedly snubbed linking up with Jurgen Klopp that summer in favour of a move to Portugal.

This, of course, gives Everton extra reason to hope a deal can be done. Getting one over on their Merseyside rivals would be brilliant for the Toffees, especially if Zivkovic went on to be a hit.

Everton fans should certainly keep track of this potential deal.
