Everton are in talks with Anthony Elanga’s agent over loan move – journalist

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that Everton have entered talks with the agent of Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga over a potential loan move this month.

The Swede, branded as ‘electric’ by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is one of the Red Devils’ most exciting young players. Even though he’s still only 20, he has played 45 times for United in all competitions already, and his potential is absolutely massive.

Everton are in talks with Anthony Elanga’s agent over loan move

Frank Lampard’s Everton are once again in a very vulnerable position. They’ve won just three of their first 17 Premier League games and are just a point above the drop zone.

It’s looking like the Toffees will be in another relegation battle, and they need all the help they can possibly get to drag themselves away from trouble.

The January transfer window officially opened yesterday, and Lampard will surely be looking to bring in a few reinforcements. Manchester United’s Elanga is reportedly a target.

Phillips told GiveMeSport: “Everton are knocking on the door making enquiries (to sign Elanga). They are in the early stages.

“They are speaking to his agent regarding a loan move, I believe, at the moment. That’s the proposal they want to put together for him.”

Elanga signed a new contract at Manchester United in December 2021 which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic thinks he’s a great talent

If there’s one person in world football who is hard to impress, it’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede isn’t really known for praising anyone but himself, but he was extremely complimentary towards young Elanga, who many people think is the future of Swedish football.

Ibrahimovic said about Elanga, as quoted by The Independent: “A great talent, we are proud and happy that he comes from Sweden. That he can represent Sweden now makes it even bigger.

“He has all the future ahead of him, and if he continues just as he has done, it looks positive. It’s just fighting, never being happy, striving for more. It depends on him, how far he can develop.”
