Everton and Tottenham have both been credited with an interest in Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen in recent months, and the attacker refused to rule out a move when talking to Football League World.
It is no surprise that Bowen is attracting interest. Despite playing on the left side of Hull’s attack, Bowen has scored 20 goals in just 40 Championship appearances. He has also laid on four assists.
He has single-handedly pushed Hull towards the top six of the Championship, as they sit in ninth with five league games to play. He was asked about Premier League interest, and he failed to rule out a summer move.
“You always see it wherever you are but I think that shows how well I’ve done which is always nice,” Bowen said. “I’ve got agents, though, so they deal with anything and I try not to worry about it too much.
“There’s always going to be stuff if you’re playing well and doing well but I’m at Hull and, for me, I’m trying to get into the Premier League with them.
“We’ve got five cup finals left and if we can get the results who knows where we’ll end up.”
Bowen’s form would be impressive for that of a striker. But for a 22-year-old to have scored at a ratio of one goal every two games in a league like the Championship from out wide is quite remarkable.
He is worth every penny of that £20million. Tottenham and Everton will be hoping that Hull do not reach the top six of the Championship, as it may give Bowen a reason to stay.
If Hull miss out, it is almost inevitable that he will move.
