Romelu Lukaku needs more creativity behind him
If Romelu Lukaku wasn’t playing for Everton this season, the Toffees would undeniably be more towards the other end of the table.
The Belgian has scored nine times in sixteen games this season, six more than anyone else in the Everton squad, and these efforts have come despite the fact that the midfielders behind him haven’t been on top form over the first few months of the campaign.
Last night he barely made an impact on the game due to the lack of creativity and service behind him; this is no fault of his own, and Koeman needs to address this midfield issue in January before the Belgian looks elsewhere.
