Mane returns to haunt old manager Koeman
When Ronald Koeman signed a then 22-year-old striker called Sadio Mane from Red Bull Salzburg for Southampton, I doubt he would have imagined the Senegalese man would come back to haunt him like he did last night.
It was almost written in the script that Mane would prove to be the decisive player at the home of Koeman’s new club after the Everton manager was the one to bring him to England in the first place.
Mane’s late goal last night took his tally to eight for the season, and Liverpool’s top goal-scorer has settled in at Anfield superbly and been a major factor in Liverpool’s good start to the season.
