Ethan Nwaneri has been mocked following comments he made after signing a new contract with Arsenal.
TBR Football confirmed last month that Nwaneri had agreed a deal in principle to stay at Arsenal.
Official confirmation of his new contract, which is thought to run until 2030, has since been forthcoming.
Nwaneri reacted to his new Arsenal deal, outlining which Gunners players he has been inspired by.
But one comment from the Hale End graduate after penning his new contract has seen him mocked online.

Ethan Nwaneri mocked after new Arsenal contract
After his deal was announced, the Gunners shared a video of Nwaneri on their Instagram account.
In it, the player said: “Happy to have signed my contract with Arsenal. Ready to get to work and win some trophies this season.”
Fans have since taken to the comment section of the post to question his claim about winning trophies this season.
One fan commented: “‘Win some trophies’. Who’s gonna tell him, guys?”
A second simply wrote: “Win some trophies”, followed by countless laughing face emojis.
“Did I hear win some trophies, kid? Didn’t you get advice before signing the contract?” another added.
Another supporter wrote: “You sure say you [going to] win anything this season??” with a fifth replying: “Should of got out when you had the chance”.
A sixth added: “Get ready for a riveting career of 16 Emirates Cups and 1 Community Shield if you’re lucky.”
While a seventh suggested: “You don’t win trophies here boy.”
How likely are Arsenal to win the Premier League in 2025/26
Arsenal have not won a trophy for a couple of years now.
They took home the Community Shield in 2023 after besting Manchester City 4-1 on penalties.
But their last major trophy came back in 2020 when they beat Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final.
As for the league title, Arsenal have not won the Premier League since the 2003/04 campaign.
Going into the new season, Opta’s supercomputer is predicting the Gunners to finish second behind Liverpool, with a 24.3% chance of winning the league come May.
