Newcastle United continue to find ways to win despite not playing their best football so far this season in the Premier League.
Eddie Howe found himself in a rather uncomfortable position at half-time against Wolves at Molineux, but a triple substitution turned things around as Newcastle United came back from a goal down to win.
Two quality strikes from Fabian Schar and Harvey Barnes made the difference.
The Magpies now find themselves third in the Premier League table after four games due to Liverpool dropping points against Nottingham Forest.
However, things aren’t looking quite as rosy off the field as Paul Mitchell and Eddie Howe appear to be on different pages at this moment in time.
This is something that a couple of ESPN pundits have been having their say on…

ESPN pundits say there’s ‘weird’ situation developing at Newcastle which is ‘not looking good’
Paul Mitchell has slammed the Magpies’ transfer policy which has sparked frustration among some.
And after just a few months in the role, Mitchell is already facing speculation about his future at the club.
Eddie Howe came out recently and stated that he hasn’t spoken to Mitchell since the interview which was almost two weeks ago now, which raised a few eyebrows at ESPN.
Speaking on The Gabs & Juls Show, the pair had a lot to say.
Julien Laurens stated.
“The most striking in what Eddie Howe had to say was the fact that he said that he hadn’t spoken to Paul Mitchell since the interview which was nine days ago.
“So I suspect that Paul Mitchell is a lot at the training ground, which is where Eddie Howe is, so they must be not far from each other everyday and they don’t speak.
He also replied “that is weird” when Gabriel Marcotti brings up the nine days again.
Later, Laurens states.
“‘When you say how strong a relationship should be between a coach and sporting director, we say it all the time. This is not looking good.”
What has led to this?
Well, Newcastle United set out to sign a central defender over the summer months.
However, things didn’t go to plan, and Paul Mitchell didn’t deliver on that front. Marc Guehi stayed at Crystal Palace despite a bid being made for the defender.
It was claimed that Mitchell revealed to Steve Parish that Eddie Howe had put all his eggs in one basket in terms of signing Guehi in the summer, which made Parish not want to sell even more.
The Newcastle chief’s interview was what really sent things over the edge, though, as he claimed it was Howe who was set on Guehi and that he was only allowed a supporting role.
